Felicia Marie Knaul is Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and the Director of the Harvard Global Equity Initiative, where she serves as Co-Director of the Global Task Force on Expanded Access to Cancer Care and Control in Developing Countries, an initiative she helped to found in 2009. She is also Senior Economist at the Mexican Health Foundation. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, Dr. Knaul founded the Mexican non-profit organization, Cáncer de Mama: Tómatelo a Pecho, a program that promotes research, advocacy, awareness, and early detection initiatives for breast cancer in Latin America. In October of 2009, she released a book by the same name recounting her personal experience with breast cancer and the creation of the organization. Her book will be published in English in Spring 2012 through Harvard University Press under the title "Beauty without the Breast". Dr. Knaul has also published several academic articles on breast cancer in low-and middle-income countries and lectures extensively on the topic as both patient-advocate and health systems researcher. Dr. Knaul has more than 130 academic and policy publications spanning topics including breast cancer, cancer care and control in developing countries, health system reform, women and health, and children in poverty. Dr. Knaul has held senior government posts in Mexico and Columbia and has worked for bilateral and multilateral agencies including WHO, the World Bank, and UNICEF. Dr. Knaul is Canadian, and resides in Boston and Mexico City. She and her husband, Dr. Julio Frenk, have two children, Hannah and Mariana Havivah.

Course Completion Requirements and Awarding Certificate
After listening to the webinar presentation, complete the course test online. With a score of 75% or better and completing the evaluation, you may immediately print your CE certificate of completion or save a pdf of it for your records. You may also request a copy to be sent to you by mail. If your score is less than the passing score of 75%, you may retake the test. In the event of loss, there is no charge for a replacement copy of a CE certificate.
